Partnering with families to build up
 bold followers of Christ.

Junior and Senior High School

6th - 12th Grades

While parents are called to be the primary disciple-makers of their children, we want to partner with parents to teach students spiritual discipline, encourage them to have significant relationships with students on the same journey, and challenge them with life-changing spiritual experiences.

Typical Night at UpStream Students

Wednesdays from 6:30 - 8:00pm

We give students a few minutes to settle in, get comfortable, and catch up with their friends. The night officially starts with a game. After the game the students will have a short break to grab a snack and a drink, then it’s time to worship. After singing, there is a Bible lesson presented, then students are dismissed into their small group time to discuss what was taught. We currently run 4 small groups. Senior high boys, junior high boys, senior high girls, and junior high girls. When group discussions are over, students can hang out until their rides show up.

Intentional Discipleship

Our philosophy at UpStream is to grow small. That means our focus is on our age specific small groups within the youth group.  We grow not by putting on big productions to entertain students, but we develop strong relationships and personally challenge students to grow in Jesus Christ. We strive to live out discipleship as Jesus modeled it in the New Testament.  This approach allows us to maintain intimate spiritual growth no matter how large our youth group becomes.
